Vigil for Missing Indigenous Women – Friday October 4
Katarokwi Grandmother’s Council is sharing an event to be held Friday October 4 at the historic Murney Tower, #2 King Street West. This will be a vigil for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. Please bring food to share.

Canada Day Ceremony with Indigenous friends
Join the Land Council of “Walking the Path of Peace Together” for a July 1 ceremony at 2 p.m. Takes place on the strip of land on Hwy 15 between Innovation Drive and the 401, which is currently owned by Faith United Church. East side of the road.
Reconciliation-Themed Worship Services
June is the month for National Indigenous Peoples Day and for two Reconciliation-Themed worship services in Kingston. The first, hosted by Chalmers and Sydenham Street United Churches, was held June 16 (see attachment below). The second is to be held June 23 at St. Mark’s Lutheran, at 10:00 a.m.
Spirit Bear Tea a Success!

Thanks everyone who came to Spirit Bear’s Birthday Tea! Through this event we were able to raise awareness of the First Nations Caring Society and need for parity in First Nations health and education. We also raised approximately $2,000. A good time was had by all.
